Why countries
think, live,
and argue
differently.
Refound Abroad turns cultural friction into short videos people recognize, argue with and send to someone else.

The channel
I don't make travel content.
I explain what people run into once they actually live somewhere.
Most Refound Abroad videos begin with something small: a school rule, a doctor's bill, the way people argue or what a cashier is expected to do.
Then I work backward. What rule created it? Why do people expect it to work that way? And why does it feel so strange to someone from somewhere else?
France is the main lens because I live here. The audience is broader: people in the United States, France, Europe and the diaspora who recognize the collision and want a better explanation than "that's just how they are."
The goal is to make the difference understandable without pretending one country has solved everything.

The best stories usually start with something surprisingly ordinary
The detail gets attention. The explanation makes it travel.
Refound Abroad performs best when the subject begins with something people immediately understand: an exam, a grocery checkout, a medical bill or a workplace rule.
That is where a partner can fit naturally. The product, destination or service should help me test, explain or show the subject. It cannot simply interrupt the video halfway through.
One familiar task—filling a car in France—became a broader argument about infrastructure, convenience and what different countries expect from everyday systems.
Audience profile
The stories start in France.
The conversation doesn't stop there.
France is the main subject, but the videos travel because the questions are much larger than France.
American viewers compare systems. French viewers explain, correct and occasionally argue. Immigrants and diaspora audiences often recognize the confusion from both sides.
That mix gives partners access to an audience already interested in language, identity, travel, education, relocation and the everyday systems that change across borders.

Ways to work together
Make the brand part
of the reason to watch.
The best integrations do not pause the story for an ad. They give me something useful to test, explain, compare or show.
Sponsored explainers
Research-led short videos built around a real audience question. The partner sits inside the explanation instead of being attached to the end as an unrelated promotion.
Best for: Services, apps, education, consumer technology, language learning and relocation.
Discuss the fitDestination stories
On-location videos about how a place actually works: language, public life, local systems, history and the details visitors usually miss.
Best for: Tourism boards, cities, cultural organizations, hotels and transportation partners.
Discuss the fitCreative partnerships
Custom series, product launches and longer collaborations for partners with more than one story to tell.
Best for: Multi-video campaigns, event coverage, original formats and ongoing brand relationships.
Discuss the fitResearch it properly.
Then explain it like a person.
Start with the thing people already notice, misunderstand or argue about.
Use credible sources, local context and the strongest fair objection. If the framing does not survive scrutiny, it does not get filmed.
Build the brand into the evidence, experience or solution. Never drop it into the story as a random interruption.
Give viewers a point they can repeat, debate or send to someone who needs the explanation.

Let's make the reel
people send to a friend.
I work with a limited number of partners whose product, destination or mission genuinely fits the audience.
Partnerships can include a sponsored reel, an on-location story or a longer series. Send me the idea, the goal and the timing. I'll tell you plainly whether I think it belongs on the channel.
